Serradura is a no-bake Goan-style dessert with creamy layers of whipped cream and crushed biscuits, a blend of Portuguese heritage and local dessert traditions. Here is an easy recipe you will love with a cashew twist.
Place the biscuits and cashew nuts in a food processor and pulse until they become a fine crush.
Pour the chilled whipping cream into a mixing bowl and, with the help of an electric mixer, beat until soft peaks form.
Fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipping cream. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
In a clear glass dish or a serving dish, place a layer of whipping cream at the bottom. Add a generous layer of crumb on top of it. Repeat the same process until the dish is full with a layer of biscuit/cashew nut crumb on top.
Refrigerate the dessert in the fridge for at least 5-6 hours or preferably overnight.
Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
Crush the Biscuits & Cashew Nuts finely.
Use chilled whipping cream to as it holds shape better.
